You will not be able to use the webcat module with Apache 2.x, since they were compiled against a specific version of Apache 1.3.x. If your version of Apache is not very close to the Red Hat version that SMSI used, you will not be able to run it at all. If I remember correctly, you need to rename mod_webcatalog7p1.so to mod_webcatalog2.sosince that is the actual name of the library. The script installer does this for you. The RPM's are the recommended installation method for this exact reason.Additionally there is no such thing as linux8; I suggest you get some books on Linux and Unix system administration prior to trying to set up a system. This list is not an appropriate resource for Linux administration issues.Johnp.s. people are more likely to take you seriously if your From: address has your name in it, rather than just me-- John Peacock Director of Information Research and Technology Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group 4720 Boston Way Lanham, MD 20706 301-459-3366 x.5010 fax 301-429-5747 ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
