numero = 46329
interpreted = N
texte = Yes, this is what I usually do since I keep firstname MI lastname in the customers.db. When I setheader to name I glue them together and when I have to display them from the orderfile I pull them apart via listwords.However, I guess I do see a small value in having the orderfile fields available (quicker coding). Will, since the gateway templates are given to us by Smith Micro, I would disagree to keep [name] [MI] [Lastname]... I think it would confuse developers... If SM only gave us [firstname] [MI] [lastname] then we would exactly know where to put the information. Then (un-beknownst to our knowledge) the gateway templates would glue them together before they get sent out. (however, I guess for those that build there own links that this info would have to be documented... but those who do this shouldn'tbe technically challenged in this way).The thing this would do is break any current template! I'm not afraid... This is because there would be an influx of work for us to fix these problems! :-)Help, I upgraded and my system no longer works right!DonovanJohn Peacock wrote:> WJ Starck wrote: > > Please please SM can we have separate fields for first name, last name > > and middle initial?????????????! > > > > Create your own form with seperate first name, last name, and middle initial > fields, then glue them together yourself (with the appropriate number of spaces, > if you so choose). > > John > > -- >-- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------<><> Donovan Brooke <><>->ï ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
