texte = Thanks... After posting, I thought my subject might be a little politically uncorrect for this list. (thus changing the subject). At any rate, PHP can't beet the setup time and the preered tools for commerce goals IMHO.about PHP image manipulation.. What kind of features does this encompass? Is this like imagemagic or pixelpipe type of stuff?about syntax... it seems that with PHP, one has to type a bit more per command.The PHP community recommended (most portable) way: The shortest way or <% %> The longest way: of course WebDNA has its XML style syn. of but the [] just has a quality doesn't it. !? Simple and to the point.Cost of PHP is valid of course. And, there is something inspiring about striving to build something very valuable (which is very possible) out of something that costs nothing (or very little).For me, It will take a good amount of time before I will be at the practical development level with PHP/mySQL/Apache that I am with WebDNA. Compiling, updating, permissions troubleshooting, security, command line, coding time etc.. can all take away from design and the big idea and the deadlines of a site and a sites functions.
