texte = Its the age old question.We are unbelievably close to securing a job in which we redevelop a large site currently done in ORACLE/ASP as we have done so many times in the past. However, unlike most where we host it this one needs to be hosted on the client's network for contract reasons. Below it the tail end of a long discussion with the IT watchdog regarding getting some 'concrete' information regarding specification for WebDNA (4.5) to be installed on an NT box.My replies are simply testimonials regarding our experiences and history, which is a good start but is often dismissed as lip service by the IT guardians.What they are looking for is some specifics regarding server interactions, security issues, stability, etc. (white paper).Again, unfortunately, I find myself at a loss to provide anything concrete. SMSI there is another 2k sale pending on this for their install. You can see my desire to provide them with some specs beyond the bulleted items on the site.[plead] This where you step up and say, here is some 'documentation' or white paper style comparisons to known platforms that I can use to appease the neigh-sayers.[/plead]Excerpt from email below: (I know his questions are far from specific, yet could be quashed non the less with a solid specification document or credible white papers. ============= Alex, What I need is information that will allow us to be comfortable that introducing this software into the Managed Hosting server will have no impact at all on the other Websites currently there.
