These include the following: the XML/XSLT processors are not available for the Mac OS/9 platform; and, the implementation of the Sandbox functionality and the variable Scope tag are based upon OS primitives that are not available on the Mac OS/9 platform. Additionally, given the linkage of the WSDL Wizard to the XML/XSLT processors, and the Content Management application to Sandbox functionality, if we were to go to the additional effort to make all of these items 'conditionally' compiled to be excluded from the Mac OS/9 platform, you would essentially end up with 4.5.1 plus a handful of new tags. We simply didn't see the point in pursuing a WebDNA 5.0 for Mac OS/9 given the fact that most Mac OS/9 customers would find little reason to upgrade to such a limited set of available enhancements. In this case, there's no real justification for the additional effort necessary to create and test such a limited capability 'special' 5.0 build. We will continue to support WebDNA 4.5.X for Mac OS/9, including continuing to make it available for purchase, and addressing reported defects in future maintenance releases (as we will continue to support and provide bug fixes on all supported 4.5.X platforms). We have not abandoned our Mac OS/9 customers.
