Just had the same problem, On OSX 10.2 external startup items need to be in /Library/Startupitems ­ not the Apple reserved /System/Library/StartupitemsSo to resolve this:Sudo mv /System/Library/Startupitems/WebCatalog /Library/Satrtupitems Enter your passwordAnd all is good after a restart.
