This is from a Windows perspective, Mac's Iwould assume have the same files but obviously in different locations.****Making .tpl files render in Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Design View****Go to your install directory for the program, typically c:\programfiles\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MXInside there, go to the Configuration folder, then DocumentTypes:c:\program files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Document TypesInside there will be an .xml file called MMDocumentTypes.xmlAdd ,tpl to the 3rd line so that it reads like:
****To have .TPL files show in the open file dialog by default:****Open extensions.txt which will be in the Configuration folder on asingle-user environment computer or in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MXAdd ,TPL to the second line, the one that looks like:HTM,HTML,HTA,HTC:HTML DocumentsSo that it now looks like:HTM,HTML,HTA,HTC,TPL:HTML DocumentsCut/paste that as the FIRST LINE of the file. Now, when you go to OpenFile, HTML/TPL files will be first. Note: I've found that adding TPL tothe All Documents (default first line) doesn't work as expected.****How to have sanity when working with WebDNA templates in DW****>From within the program, go to Edit > Preferences.Uncheck/disable these 'features':Code Format uncheck Automatic Wrapping (so that code doesn't wrap in themiddle of a context)Code Rewriting Uncheck everything! (I don't trust Never rewrite codein..)File Types / Editors Make sure you haven't added .tpl to the list of Openin Code View as I had done :)Hope it helps someone, and if someone has other suggestions or things thatthey've done to enhance the relationship, please share!
