The addresses I am using are totally legal addresses, but I am getting the following errors:04/11/2003 19:11:45 General email error 250 1050113495941573done 04/11/2003 19:12:00 General email error 250 1050113495941577done 04/11/2003 19:12:15 General email error 250 1050113525941612done 04/11/2003 19:12:30 General email error 250 1050113525941623doneFor instance, the SMTP Mail Server I put in the preferences is uclink.berkeley.edu. All email addresses associated with WebCatalog are websales@uclink.berkeley.edu. The email address websales@uclink.berkeley.edu is an actual account on uclink. So, why would this not work? When we were using a mail server on the same machine as WebCatalog I noticed the smithmicro.com listed -- I guess it can't figure out the hostname... Is there a way around this?In regard to the error log, 250 is actually the SMTP OK message, so that really doesn't help much. My question is, when you specify a remote server in the SMTP Mail Server setting on the Email Setup page of the WebCatalog admin, does WebCatalog act like an email client and just send mail to the SMTP Mail Server as a normal mail client would, or is it doing something else?Thanks.-lucas ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
