texte = Hi Alan,I use an Airport Base Station daily. I don't imagine the SBS method could bemuch different. The part where I would have to question is, both the serverand the SBS (software base station) will have the ETH settings. If you only have one IP, do we give the IP to the SBS or the server????that is the question. I would guess that the SBS gets the static IP and theserver is going to connect like any other machine on the Sub Net...So,First:Disable any firewall protection for now (to start minimally)what machines are you trying to connect?.. And via what interface (ie Airport cardsor eth)(You may have covered this but I am just getting back to the list). What kind of connection do you have? (I think I remember you having a broadbandconnection (eth?)If Eth:1.)Configure your base station:Designate the server as a base station.Connect via Eth...IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxSub Mask: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxrouter: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxserver DNS: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxConfigure the DHCP etc..2.) Set up the server's TCP/IP settings. If connecting via Airport card, Select Airport in theconnect via, If connecting through the Base Stations(ethernet bridge) via ethernet, select ethernet built-infor the connect via.Select, DHCP for either.um, what else. well, that's a start anyway.good luck,Donovan[snip]-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
