texte = FWIW, I always do a normal append to a temporary database and then copy that database to another location and rename the file with an .xls extension (or copy to a location and give it the .xls extension on the copyfile). You can then do a delete on the temp db to clear it for another append with different values. I just don't trust the [field1][field2] in a writefile. The way I've done it opens up perfectly in Excel every time for me.
