texte = Hello, I am wondering what others think about this (skeleton of course).. [search db] [founditems] [orderfile file=path/[o_file_from_db]] [name],[company] [/orderfile] [/founditems] [/search] For some reason, I am getting very slow results with one found orderfile... even slower with two found items etc.. I am opening the orderfile and grabbing a couple things from it. I realized that accessing the HD was going to be slow but with only one orderfile It is approx. a 30 sec wait... with two, It is about a minute etc.. Is this just a bad coding technique? More specifically, is there different engine methods involed in using "file=" rather than "cart=" (such as ram resident cart info compared to hard drive accessed cart info)??? I can actually probably code in a way where I don't have to open each found orderfile, (by saving some info the db) but I am curious to what others have found. Maybe my drives are slow (am waiting to hear back from the systems person). Thanks, Donovan -- =o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o=o DONOVAN D.
