Features are as follows: • A Punch clock Allows one to create customers (using all the new header fields), create and search for jobs, and keep track of the hours put into each job. • A quoting / billing / accounting system that is interactive between client and user. When you create a quote you enter in a title and description. You then add in "lineitem" features (this is so you can keep products separate from services and list separate features as well. When done adding them, you can add your tax rate, shipping (if applicable), dialog, and some other things, and then save the quote. At this time you view the finished quote. From here you can do a number of things. You can send the quote to the customer. The quote notes the send date and time. The customer has the option of following a link to your site where they can either approve the quote or add to the dialag (if you included any). If dialog is added, you are notified and can respond to their comments. The nifty thing about this is, All dialog resides in one place; AND right there on the quote visually (no more mis-communications). Once customer is happy with the look of the quote, they can approve it right there on the site (you are noticed via email). At this stage, the quote is amended and an invoice is created and the customer has the option of paying the down payment (if any). Payments can be anything from check to automatic VISA debit. All payments subtract from the balance so that you always have a running balance. The accounting system will also keep track of the info needed for taxes. I originally designed this for my own business, but thought I would offer it to my competitors if interested. :-) - the description above reflects only partial features - I plan to offer this both in an encrypted and open source states at different costs. Hopefully I will have a downloadable trial. I won't release it until it is robust but am hopefull that it won't drag out too long.
