texte = I think triggers and curl do two different things -- curl is a shell command that retrieves web pages and may even do FTP like the wget command. The shell command that operates like a trigger is cron. Cron will run a shell script at a designated time. I think cron checks for the scripts to run once per minute while the machine is on. If the machine is off, cron does not work. There enhanced cron programs (I think anacron is one) that will run scripts that were missed when a machine was off. If you need to learn more about using curl or cron, try man curl or man cron at the command prompt of your unix terminal. You can google search for example scripts using these commands. I imagine there are also many books written covering these commands. In your case, you could use a cron entry to call a curl command to download a web page at a certain time or times.
