Can I make the array my boot drive (intuitively, it seems one shouldn't do this), or do I just put the data I want protected on the RAID array, and point Apache there with a symbolic link? I had already planned to do RAID 5 on an XRAID. Before I make the plunge though... My question was actually more directed at how to do this from a webserving point of view. Can I make the array my boot drive (intuitively, it seems one shouldn't do this), or do I just put the data I want protected on the RAID array, and point Apache there with a symbolic link?
