texte = Flash sometimes has trouble determining the first and last variables of avariable string. Are you adding dummy variable/value pairs to the start andend? eg: start=start&var1=value1..&end=end. Not sure if this will fix it,but I thought I'd mention it anyway.----- Original Message ----- From: "Justin Carroll"

When I choose Debug > List Variables in theflash preview mode it shows my variables loaded at _level10; however, when Itrace those same variables I get "undefined" every time. Here's an example of what's happening:loadVariable("test.txt", _level10); //_level10.test_root.x = "Boom!" //_level10.xtrace(_root.clipEmpty.test); //this returns "undefined"trace(_root.x); //this returns "Boom!"I've changed my code to use the LoadVars() object and theloadVariablesNum(). Nothing seems to work. Every single time I get"undefined" for my variables.I'm on a Macintosh using Flash MX. Any suggestions would be helpful at thispoint.
