It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 54762
interpreted = N
texte = Flash sometimes has trouble determining the first and last variables of a variable string. Are you adding dummy variable/value pairs to the start and end? eg: start=start&var1=value1..&end=end. Not sure if this will fix it, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Justin Carroll" To: "WebDNA Talk" Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 2:15 AM Subject: Flash loadVariables I'm trying to get a string of variables into flash from WebCat. I'm using the loadVariables() function. When I choose Debug > List Variables in the flash preview mode it shows my variables loaded at _level10; however, when I trace those same variables I get "undefined" every time. Here's an example of what's happening: loadVariable("test.txt", _level10); //_level10.test _root.x = "Boom!" //_level10.x trace(_root.clipEmpty.test); //this returns "undefined" trace(_root.x); //this returns "Boom!" I've changed my code to use the LoadVars() object and the loadVariablesNum(). Nothing seems to work. Every single time I get "undefined" for my variables. I'm on a Macintosh using Flash MX. Any suggestions would be helpful at this point. Thanks.
