We all but abandoned tracking people via cookies a year ago. The hassle of browser compatibility coupled with the irrational fear of cookies on the part of the public was too much. While clearly not as attractive, a cart based identification is 100% compatible with browsers. Whether you get them to signin via a fill out form for user & pass or you use a real authentication box, the cart adds value for you. Especially for 'guests' that don't sign in but you still want to track. I have developed my own irrational hatred for cookies ;-) Good Luck Alex Alex J McCombie New World Media Chief Information Officer Box 124 888/892.6379 MartVille, NY 13111 Alex@NewWorldMedia.com http://OurClients.com Interface Designer WebDNA Programmer Database Designer ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
