texte = Thanks Brian. Yes, that was one thought. Then I wouldn't need the allhit=1 any more either. What I decided though, is to have the trigger find records with past dates and if a date 2 exists, make date1=date2 then delete date2. If no date2, then delete the whole record, since I'll be searching on past date1 anyway to peel them off the database.
