texte = I encountered this, and in my case the boxes were %0B characters (what WebDNA substitutes line enders for when storing in a db) slipping through unmapped from a database. Other browsers show nothing for non-printable characters, but Safari 1.2 shows the boxes. Try putting [url][/url] around the text showing the boxes and you'll see the offending characters.
