texte = The 'old' authentication style no longer works on WebDNA versions 4 and up. This is because, for reasons of security, incoming form varaibles can no longer override certain WebDNA tags ([username], [password], [ipaddress], etc...). Is there a problem that prevents you from using the HTTP authenticate method? -----Original Message----- From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com]On Behalf Of MARK BERGKVIST Sent: Wednesday, February 25, 2004 2:57 PM To: WebDNA Talk Subject: Authenticate v6 Can anyone help me? I had version 3.51 running just fine on Windows 2000 IIS. I had several login pages that displayed the login information in the page itself, not a popup dialog and looked up users in my users.db. With the new upgrade (V6), it switched it so that the dialog pops up, which I don't want. I got this changed back to the way it was by changing AuthenticateChecker.old to AuthenticateChecker But it does not appear to be looking in my users.db as I am not getting the "unauthorized user" message, but a Not Authorized! Message. Can anyone help me get this back to the "old" style?
