texte = Unless they wrote the loss off as a marketing expense, which is what most companies would do. I'm not saying go out there a intentionally lose money, but, say, earmark a small 'road' budget for one budget year, expect an upfront loss, but track the hell out of all the 'converts' you pick up on the way, and, if they do it right, the cost of new licenses generated from the road shows would more than offset the initial 'loss'.
