It's a bug, and it's not just in v6.1. Apparently webdna does not handle this kind of post data properly when it comes from certain browsers, specifically Opera 6 on MacOS 8/9.x which may also have bugs in it ... I've seen this with Opera, along with failed uploads more often than not -- but it never seems to happen with Internet Explorer, and it *does* happen with older versions of webdna. It may be that Opera (at least this version on MacOS) doesn't sent the POST properly or something, so that makes webdna "freak out" and spits back the wrong page, possibly from another ssite on the server. Of course webdna should never return code from other sites unless it is specifically asked to do so, which means this is probably a security issue. I think webdna just fails to deal with the posted data properly. After all, no matter what the browser sends, webdna should not "freak out" like it does and send back totally unrelated stuff. But you have to admit, it's interesting to see what webdna returns to you in this situation. It's kinda like hacking but having no control over what you're going to see next. I've been testing it via Opera and first I got a calendar, then I got nothing, then I got a page with photo captions like this (Stonington 1954/1994 Woodblock 7" x 10-1/2" Ed. 25, artist proofs: 9) but with no photos, then I got things like this (RTVDVD006 Janene Higgins and Zeena Parkins and Ela Troyano & Tessa Hughes-Freeland add to cart), then I got (Bang on a Can Archives), then I got (Times Square Restaurant Results New York City) ... But I cannot get anything except the expected .gif code when I use IE. So I'm going back and trying it again with Opera, it's fun to view the seemingly random stuff that comes up! :) -- Kenneth Grome WebDNA Programmer Outsource Service Provider Phone: +6332 255-6591 ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
