texte = Yeah I know, but it seems like an opportunity was missed for more graceful syntax. [showif xxx] should look at whatever xxx is. Variables that evaluate to T=1=true=TRUE=on, etc., should fire the showif just as the result of an expression does. Actually, it would have been harder to code it to require an expression, I think.
