texte = AFAIK, unless it has changed, if the ship to state is the same state as one that the shipper has a point of origin from (warehouse, sales office, etc), then taxes must be applied. Perhaps someone can confirm or deny that. For this site, selecting the ship to state is solely for tax purposes. In other cases, it would also be used to calculate a shipping rate for the destination based on distance travelled.
