Me too. Basically webforums come in two different flavours, the branched kind I showed an example of and the "single line" version Alex presented. Both can be said to be "threaded" - and far too often tangled. Both have their advantages and disadvantages although it seems which one webmasters choose is often more based on current fashion than actual needs. Both variants are fairly simple to make with WebDNA. But you have to be prepared to either do some programming yourself or to pay for a ready-made solution. (Mine's actually free for anyone who wants it, but at the moment it is very basic, probably not presentable for a slick commercial site without some serious modifications, not very practical to adminstrate if the traffic is high, and it comes without a user manual. I'll fix all that once I feel a need for something more advanced, but that's not likely to happen soon ;-) ----- As for spiderability - that's easy: just make sure there's just one variable in the URL and that the variable is *not* named ID Frank Nordberg http://www.musicaviva.com http://www.online-guitarist.com http://www.gitar-siden.com http://www.tablatvre.com http://www.mandolin-player.com http://www.blues-harmonica.com http://www.irish-banjo.com http://www.blues-banjo.com http://www.folk-banjo.com http://www.roarogfrank.com http://www.website-helper.com ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
