texte = Scriptlance is just one of 100+ similar sites that charge you for the privilege of advertising or bidding on programming projects ... My staff has been researching these kinds of companies for months, and they have come up with a long list of outsource programming portals which I have posted on my own CodeLane.com web site -- which by the way is running in WebDNA and located here: http://www.codelane.com/portals.html Code Lane itself is FREE and it does not limit your communication with others who use it, therefore it is not like the others -- it is better (in my opinion of course) ... :) The others entice you by letting you get started (some for free) but then they ban your use of email addresses, phone numbers, URLs and other direct contact info in your communications. This is the only way they can insure that you do not "bypass" their system until you or the other party pays them. Code Lane site has no such limitation because it is free for everyone. In other words, Code Lane NEVER CENSORS YOUR MESSAGES! But we still offer "anonymous" communication if that's what you want. Some employers prefer to remain anonymous until they have selected the programmer they wish to hire, and Code Lane honors this preference by allowing full and unlimited communication between parties while keeping you anonymous. I built Code Lane personally. It is very basic, but in my opinion faster and simpler than nearly all the other "outsourcing portal" web sites I've been experimenting with, and it serves the purpose effectively. It does not offer the features I consider to be detrimental even though these features are common on other sites, but of course I am open to adding those features later if enough people demand them. I was going to announce and start marketing Code Lane next week, but now that this topic has come up I decided to mention it here first. Of course there are no programming projects listed there yet (except for a sample project) but it's only a matter of time before programmers and their employers discover the site and begin using it. If you're interested please check it out and let me know what you think, but in the interest of not clogging this list it might be best if you send your comments to me via private email, thanks.
