texte = James, I think many people here have probably built such sites with WebDNA. I have built several, each improving on the ones that came before. As for ideas, you will want to decide on how access is granted, and that is either with cookies or browser authentication. I have used both, and generally prefer cookies. With cookies, you can build in time-limited cookies, which do away with the problem of logging out; and you can set long-term cookies, that do away with authentication disappearing when the browser quits, as well as providing a means for showing "log in" links for members. Also, you can have multiple cookies, such as a general user cookie, a super-administrator cookie, a reduced-power admin cookie, etc. The drawback to cookies, _and please someone steer me if things have changed in the past couple of years_, is that you can't protect a directory of say, images. You can't slap a [showif [cookie member]=t][/showif] on an image or entire directory, the way you can with page content. But your site doesn't sound like this. I have found that there's nothing you can't do with WebDNA (except directory protection; see above). If you see something on the internet you think is a great feature, chances are, you can code this to happen in WebDNA. There are a couple of forums available from people here on the list, such as a new one from Stuart down in AU, or you can set aside time to build your own. The biggest task will be making the admin pages to edit, add to, and remove from the databases, including a host of validation issues for proper email formatting, date formatting, and required fields. I have always coded this stuff myself, but one of these days I'll have to look at site builder. But get this part right, and making the display pages is child's play. Lastly, learn about style sheets. Good luck with the job.
