texte = # 8217 is the character entity for "right single quote". That is the quote you'll get with word processors usually, or if it is coded that way by the web designer. When you paste it into notepad, it strips the formatting so that all you get is the apostrophe mark that you have on your keyboard. That's because notepad is a plain text format only editor. If you pasted the same into Wordpad, you'd see the right single quote. See http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/sgml/entities.html for a reference of character entities.
