The main game, that started it all is a market based game where the prices of movies go up and down on an almost daily basis. The object is for players to purchase upcoming movies for their fake studio with play money and earn grosses for those titles based on how they do in the real world. The thing that I'm most proud of with the site is the admin side of things. Once a year I let someone else run the site, so I had to build a seamless admin section for them to run every facet of the games. One of my very first jobs with WebDNA (Cat) was to build a slot machine game for a client which allowed users to enter a promotional code and take five spins. It functioned a little different than a normal slot machine would, but it's what the client wanted. The spinning part was done in javascript, but the game was coded heavily to make sure each card was unique and that people couldn't cheat. I had to dig it up, but this is what the game looked like without the code: http://www.thinksite.com/examples/slot/ on 3/24/05 10:25 AM, Rob Marquardt at rob@toastdesign.com wrote: > on 3/23/2005 8:44 pm, Stephen Reiss at wineguy@bandc.com so noted... > >> I have written a couple of basic (wine) educational games at >> www.wineeducation.com.
