texte = I have a very simple registration signup form with 4 fields username password email secret word I use this kinda code to make sure the Username, Password, and SecretWord fields have data within them [math show=f]OK=1[/math] [showif [user]=] Error!
Enter a username

Try Again
[math show=f]OK=0[/math] [/showif] [showif [url][pass][/url]=] Error!
Enter a Password

Try Again
[math show=f]OK=0[/math] [/showif] and the same for SecretWord For the Email field I use a rather lengthy javascript snippet to check format etc, so that bad email entries are avoided since I automatically email an activation code after signup. All works like a charm 99.5% of the time I guess This morning someone was able to submit that form with all fields blank, which caused [user] [pass] [email] [secretword] to be written to the datanase. This then caused a little wierdness to happen on another page for a reason I haven't been able to determine yet. BUT what I'm wondering is..... Is my way the best way to ensure the fields are NOT empty??? is there a better way??? I don't want to use webdna errors.db for this, as my way keeps the design of the pages intact.... I'm just puzzled why I can never ever get it to fail, yet on 3 occasions or so it has for other individuals. Thanks __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
