database file line breaks?

texte = Hi there, Is there a way I can make Webdna always use "\n" breaks between items in its database files? I run it on a linux server, and like to be able to view files in pico and vi, etc. It seems though, that every time WebDNA writes to the database files, all the line breaks are replaced with "\r", making each file only one very long line. Any way to change this without breaking functionality? A setting somewhere, maybe?
