I would suggest if your problem is that you don't have a salesman in the US/Oz or wherever who is able to provide your company with enough work: 1) Hire a man on the ground in Manila, fly to the US and source the work yourself 2) Hire a man on the ground in the US, and get him to source the work for yourself This is a technical talk list. If your business is failing and you need a salesman, there must be talk lists or resources to find such people. > But that's okay, I really didn't expect anything different because > now I understand "The Nature of WebDNA Programmers", and it is this: > > Webdna programmers are a unique breed, and they are nearly always > heel-bent on doing all their own programming work, rather than > farming it out, no matter how cheaply they can get someone else to > do it for them. I don't think this is unique to WebDNA, or PHP or anything else for that matter. There is a great reluctance everywhere against sending work overseas and with good reason, since although per-hour it may be cheaper at face value, it is *not* the utopia you suggest. Also once work is farmed out overseas to India, Russia or wherever else it never comes back. From my perspective were my employer to announce he was sending all jobs your way from now on, I would be unemployed. Ditto if I coded PHP, ASP or made sandwiches for a living. Thus I think you can see the absurdity of berating the seemingly unenthusiastic members of this list. Best of luck with your endeavours.
