Using the existing pages (from ver 3) on the ver 6 machine, within an orderfile, the header shows up fine, but the line items don't; nor do the subtotal and other calculated values from the line items. It's as if there are no line items in the cart. I took a cart file from a cart system that's been running on 6 and put it in the pending order folder on the migrating site. It read in just fine. So I copied the header from the new one and put it in an old one. Still no line items. I did the reverse, and copied in the line items from the new one; same thing. I changed the version field from 1.5 to 5.1; no different. I copied the entire file into an old one, and still nothing. I created a new order, and it reads in fine. I want the client to be able to view the completed orders, otherwise I'd just move forward and not worry about it. This one really has me stumped. By the way, the ver 3 files were created on an OS9 Mac; the new server is a Linux machine, and the experimental newer file came from an OSX box. And one final thing I just tried... I created a new file via FTP on the new machine and copied a cart file into it and named it some random numbers. The results of this are so bizarre it's hard to even describe. If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it. If this doesn't have an easy solution, I'll just tell the client we are losing the histories.
