Grep to convert characters to html entities

texte = Hi all, I am trying to convert special characters to their hex html entities = before storing a string into a database. I have found a php grep string = which will do this but cannot get a working WebDNA equivalent:- php code : My best (non-working) attempt so far is : [grep search=3D([^\%09\%0A\%0D\%20-\%7F])&replace=3D%26#[url]\1[/url];]& = =E9 =A3 [/grep] But I can't seem to get the [url] code in the 'replace' to generate the = hex code for the character.
