texte = Aloha all! I think I built my first site in early '96. It was calledWebCatalog then and we ran it on mac quadras/mac clones (anyone rememberthese clones!) with WebMerchant/MacAuthorize connected via a phone line toprocess transactions. Believe it or not, we had a whole bunch of sites onWebDNA systems and even developed a site for MIT's Digital Media Lab whereit has faithfully run since 1998. Clients like Disney, Kodak, Nike,Chrysler, Lotus, FedEx, and so many more used our systems that were built onWebDNA. We even won best of show for Content Management in 1998 at InternetWorld Boston for a product that was based on WebDNA.Stopped using it for years but now using it to prototype a few systems -still rocks after all these years. My latest project is ChipIn(http://www.chipin.com/) (in Java right now - soon to be in Rails) but we dohave some next gen systems being prototyped in other languages includingWebDNA.On a more technical note, so far on one project we are pushing WebDNA prettyhard. The only thing that I have found lacking that requires quite a bit ofhacking is posting a file upload from a flash app. For some reason such apost crashes WebDNA on Windows and on Linux WebDNA doesn't have access tothe url args which is the only way to append args along with a flash fileupload. Other than that, very happy with our recent purchase of 6.0.Laters, Olin-----Original Message-----From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com] On Behalf OfthierrySent: Friday, March 02, 2007 10:59 AMTo: WebDNA TalkSubject: Re: Out of the woodworkalso listening here ... and of course still don't want to belive that thisproduct should get buried ...Thierry---------------------------mac&web gmbhthierry almygrabenstrasse 158200 schaffhausenswitzerlandtel +41 (0)52 620 30 60fax +41 (0)52 620 30 61web www.mac-web.ch----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
