We run WebDNA on seeveral servers and we reboot once every 6 months, just in "case of". ssh to you server and type "top" to check the most CPU hungry processes to find if WebDNA is in the list, and what percentage it takes. If you find it takes more than 50%, then there are probably imbricated [search] processes on very large databases. MySQL and php react exactly the same way and will not fix the problem... chris On Jan 15, 2008, at 12:26, Clint Davis wrote: > Red Hat Linux 4 | WebDNA 6.0a | Apache 2.0.61 > > WebDNA is driving me nuts - at least once a day, it's becoming > unresponsive. > When this happens, I have to do the following to get it back up: > > ./WebCatalogCtl stop (WebDNAMonitor stops but WebCatalog doesn't) > kill -9 {pid of the WebCatalog process} > ./WebCatalogCtl start > > I'm converting WebDNA sites to PHP, and I haven't taken the time to > track > down a particular website or page that's causing the trouble.
