Some of you may say "This=20kind of tool is not necessary with WebDNA because we can=20just import our db files into our desktop database=20programs." This is true, but it is also true that=20beginners who have seldom (or never) created or managed a=20database on the web will find it less intimidating and more=20comforting to have a tool like dbConsole at their immediate=20disposal from the very beginning. =20> Data is in 4GL format and is saved into a directory=20> inside the GCI directory. I cannot run WebDNA in my $5 per month=20shared web hosting account either. I've had these same=20problems for years. This makes WebDNA feel like a rather=20unfriendly solution to me. Of course this is just a=20leftover problem created by the previous owners so=20hopefully things will change soon.=20I have always dreamed of a self-contained WebDNA package=20(like XXAMP) that includes a web server and email sender=20along with WebDNA itself, already pre-configured and ready=20to run the moment it is installed. If nothing else this=20would make a user's initial experience with WebDNA much=20more friendly and inviting.Sincerely,Ken Grome
