Are you using a standard port (3306)? My work is on Ubuntu 12.x & 14.x, I connect directly to MySQL from = WebDNA, your setup may have a problem with going via ISQL. I also use = TSQL successfully to connect with MS SQL databases, unfortunately = working with MS SQL is not the same as working with MySQL via WebDNA. Other things to look at:

Does WebDNA return anything about = MYCONNECTION not being found ?

Are you using a standard port = (3306)?
