installation = yourself, as basically, installing WebDNA server is a
matter of = permissions (always), SELinux (annoying), a connector and a

I am currently building new servers that MUST have MySQL = connectivity and I have installed the wrong version !!!

I now remember that = post.

No point = in upgrading servers OS, no point in upgrading WebDNA.

Stuck in the =E2=80=98dark= ages=E2=80=99 again.

Not happy here :(

Brian, I think it is tools down and let=E2=80=99s go fishing = !!!

Thanks Stuart, but that is for WebDNA 8.5.1 and that did not = support MySQL when I tried it last night.
According to the tech release notes, 8.2 is the last to = support it=E2=80=A6. Or am I missing something?

Speaking of old = versions?

Does anyone have a link to the = 8.2 Server Version for Ubantu 14?

I need to = find the latest version of WebDNA that works with MySQL.

Hi Chris

Maybe older versions = could be made available on the downloads page

Hello!

Yes, = pricing has been changed two years ago, in January 2015, so
there is = only one version of the FastCGI that can run (fast) in
freeware = mode for free, without any mathematical operation to be
solved or = any annoying limit, or can run in registered mode
(faster) = for a small $59 accelerator certificate.

On = another side, there is the server version (unlimited services,
unlimited = domains for one single machine) which is the old
"Enterprise" = version for $459, and the Developer version which is
free.

About the question "This method is not = suitable to update WebDNA and
previous = installation will be overwritten. It must be a fresh WebDNA
install on a = default Ubuntu 14.=E2=80=9D Does this mean a server rebuild or
is there = another way to get this happening ? I tried an install over
the top of = an existing server upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04,
but have run = into problems, rather than spending hours trying to
debug, it = would be good to know if there is a =E2=80=9Cmanual=E2=80=9D method = of
installing/upgrading or do I just build a new server.

The installation process relies on the = position of directories,
apache user, = dependencies version, and each LINUX OS has his own
formula for = this. Moreover, each LINUX OS might change the formula
from one = version to the other. Apache Software Foundation will also
change the = rules from time to time. We have to adapt and we provide
installers = for the major LINUX distributions. However, from a
distribution = to another, the changes oblige us to make slight
installer = modifications. Making installers intelligent enough to
detect that = there have been an upgrade, from LINUX version X to LINUX
version Y is = doable, but not financially viable. You can do the
installation = yourself, as basically, installing WebDNA server is a
matter of = permissions (always), SELinux (annoying), a connector and a
module = (built for a specific LINUX version) and http config, with a
single = formula that would work for every installation if apache
config = remained consistent, which is not always the case. Upon
request, we = can provide the connector and module. Or we are always
willing to = help and many of you know that we always bring quick
support when = requested.

Finally, the version 6, from = 2004 and 6.2 in 2008, is still available
upon request = to support@webdna.us<mailto:support@webdna.us> = If we
keep a software online, then we have to provide support, and = WebDNA 6
is NOT supported anymore.

Happy = New Year to all,
