No luck on connecting to MySQL 5.7

 

I think MySQL made some changes to the security =in 5.7. I guess WebDNA does not support that. I was really hoping to use =5.7 since they have a great replication system built right into the =platform.

 

I am able to connect to =5.7 using TOAD from the same Windows7 machine.

Can you connect to the external MySQL from the =command line ?

 

If not, then I suggest a permissions/firewall problem =at the MySQL server.

 

Remember to restart MySQL after changing any =settings.

Could very well be a firewall problem, something in the back =of my head is reminded about port 3306 on standard Ubuntu installs being =blocked.

 

Remember to reboot after you make any =config changes.
