Look in the docs under File Formats for a description. What I mean is that when WebCatalog thinks a database is quote-comma delimited (basically if the second line begins with a quote), then it will interpret those 2 quotes in a row as a single quote on a field-by-field basis. It won't do what you want if the data comes in tab-delimited with embedded quotes, though. The only gotcha for Excel is that you *must* make sure all fields are quote-comma delimited. If Excel thinks a column is numeric, it will often leave the quotes off, which is a no-no. So you need to get your vendors to force those columns to be alphabetic in Excel, even if they only contain numbers.Technical Support | ==== eCommerce and Beyond ==== Pacific Coast Software | WebCatalog, WebMerchant, 11770 Bernardo Plaza Court | SiteEdit Pro, PhotoMaster, San Diego, CA 92128 | Typhoon 619/675-1106 Fax: 619/675-0372 | http://www.smithmicro.com/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
