I notice >the pdf docs specifiy an eight character seed. Is this critical? There is a problem with seeds greater that seven (7) characters in the newer versions of webcatalog. Due to software export restrictions on code that performs encryption, webcat now supports seeds only up to 7 characters long. You'll have to convert all those 8 or 10-character seeds to 7-character seeds before moving your db's to a new version of webcat, whether on the same platform or another platform. ================================ Kenneth Grome, WebDNA Consultant 808-737-6499 http://webdna.net ================================------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
