For example, if you have the tax rate set at 17.5 and you call up the invoice page with a single item valued at 1,099, you will get the following values: [shippingtotal]: 1,099.00 [taxtotal]: 192.32 [grandtotal]: 1,291.32If, on the other hand you attempt to use the following code: [math][price]*1.175[/math], you will get 1,291.33!!The reason I am having these problems, is that I need to show the price with and without tax on all pages where the price is displayed, can anyone think of any other way of achieving this? (apart from storing the inc TAX price in the database and just calling it along with the ex TAX price!)Thanks.Mark.On Wednesday, April 26, 2000, Kenneth Grome wrote: >>I'm having a few problems with the way that WebCatalog is rounding off prices. >>It's only a problem when the figures end .xx5 (IE: 1291.325). >> >>All the programs I've come across (including the one that handles >>all our sales order processing after it's been passed from >>WebCatalog - ACI 4D) >>will round this number UP, but WebCatalog rounds this DOWN. > >No options, that's just how it works, but you can get around this >problem by writing custom webdna code that detects the 5 in the 3rd >decimal place and deals with it the way you want to deal with it, >instead of the way webcatalog deals with it. > > >================================ >Kenneth Grome, WebDNA Consultant >808-737-6499 http://webdna.net >================================ > > > >------------------------------------------------------------- >This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . >To unsubscribe, E-mail to: >To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > >------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
