From my own experience, I'm beginning to think that the latter is the ONLY way - albeit really uncomfortable.I've been wrestling with the documentation for some weeks now trying to get a SIMPLE store flying. I don't think I'm an idiot or a slow learner either - but the process is making me a bit bitter.I didn't want to set up a store using frames - so the Storebuilder was out. So I figured I'd need to modify the Tearoom store to get going. In modifying the templates of the Tearoom - I managed to aggravate a bug in WC 4.0 that took about a week to isolate and correct - only with the help of tech support (which of course cost me hours of phone time). The documentation doesn't suggest what course to take if you don't need some of the stuff included in the templates or want to have some additional custom (yet fairly standard) elements included in the invoice and beyond in the store. For instance, I don't want to capture the shipping method or what state to ship to (I only need to add 5% tax for Wisconsin residents) on the shoppingcart.tpl page.By simple, I mean all I have to do for shipping and handling is a subtotal math equation. That is:Up to $10.00, add $3.95 From $10.01 to $50.00, add $4.95 From $50.01 to $100.00, add 10% of subtotal From $100.01 to $200.00, add 8% of subtotal $200.00 and over, add 6% of subtotalCanadians add 15% of subtotal minimum $4.95Is there a simple example somewhere that explains this that I'm missing? Why should I need a consultant to do this if the software is so strongly marketed as EASY?I'm not afraid of wading in to find out how to do things on the web - but this seems really hard for some reason - perhaps I need a vacation more than I think I do - sheesh!
