texte = Jeff, I believe you _should_ worry about this. If your processor is consistently using 90+% of the CPU, then you have some bad code someplace, or the box is just extremely busy. Is the box __extremely__ busy? We had a situation like this, The server was fine, then it ran for a while at 150-180% and then it would eventually crash. It was due to some bad code that did a search on a large database, with no limits on results and really not much in the way of search criteria. The page was a secondary 'results' page, that a user would never hit without passing form variables, but whenever a spider would hit The page it would throw webcat into a loop. Enough spiders hit the page, and crash... The machine 'worked' during this time, that is, you couldn't really notice a slowdown in response times... until it crashed. Just as a reference point, since fixing the problem, our xserve now runs webcat at 0% with spikes to 20 or 30. And it does 20-30k sustained bandwidth. And, it 'seems' WAY faster...
