Here's my idea: Someone build it. Put it on your own server (probably best if it was a stand-alone box, as large files, image manipulation, etc. eat resources... totally your call. I don't care. I just want it to work.) It should do at least the followoing: 1) Limit the upload(s) to a certain size (5MB?). I posted a javascript to the list that can detect file size BEFORE the upload... I'll post again if anyone needs it. 2) Main things clients always want to do is resize, crop, make thumbnails, etc. 3) Once client is happy with their imaging they hit 'submit' or whatever and the final images are either automatically uploaded/sent to *my* server or made retrievable by me, or whatever... I'm open to ideas... leaning, of course, towards automation wherever possible. 4) Charge a monthly fee for this app/service. Perhaps offer a free version stuffed with relevant ads which can be removed if someone 'upgrades' to the monthly service. Advertise the crap out of this FREE ONLINE IMAGE EDITOR all over the web. 5) Sign me up as the first client 6) Repeat step 5 with everyone else on the list who's interested, then expand from there. Please contact me when this project is ready for review :) I'm serious. As I said, I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but I have no time, also, I'd need to get with my Admin to install ImageMagick on the shared server yadda yadda yadda... I don't want to deal with it. I want a turn-key solution that I can frame into any website(s) I need the app for. -Dan Strong ------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.StrongGraphicDesign.com (208) 319-0137 | Toll-free p/f 877-561-1656 ------------------------------------------------------------ On Tue, 9 Sep 2003 10:06:51 +1200 Alain Russell wrote: >We've got this working at the moment for a few things .. >What is it specifically you are having trouble with .. ? > >Alain > >On Tuesday, 9 September 2003, at 9:58 AM, Jeff Logan wrote: > >>Do anyone have this built yet? >> >>Client can go to a web site and upload an image, but before they do >>they >>can specify the size they want it to be once uploaded?
