Set that pref to 'No' if you continue to have that problem. This is only a problem for the 4.5.1 build, as the 'Safe Write' code was improved for the 5.0 release. -----Original Message----- From: Alex McCombie [mailto:alex@newworldmedia.com] Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2003 8:05 AM To: WebDNA Talk Subject: WebCAT has the devil in it! WebCat 4.5 Mac OS9 It's possessed! I just discovered that since Tues. midday, it has been writing temp db's for one particular DB every minute or couple of minutes or so. Assuming whenever that DB is due to change. That summed up to 2400 temp db's at just under 1 meg a piece!!!!! Thank goodness we try to keep our HD relatively open and available. But what if I didn't catch this... Purely by dumb luck as I was working in the DIR today. Sheesh. Now, where the hell should I start looking to figure out what caused this as I have never seen this before. Man, as if I needed more to do today :-( Alex Alex J McCombie New World Media Chief Information Officer Box 124 888/892.6379 MartVille, NY 13111 Alex@NewWorldMedia.com http://OurClients.com Interface Designer WebDNA Programmer Database Designer ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
