What I wound up doing was creating a separate database which stores "just: the blog ID number, who wrote it and the status.... 3 fields OriginalBlogID Status TheBloggerID I write new info into this database when a blog entry is first made. I also replace the value in "Status" or delete the entire blog entry as needed after an "edit" is made. I then redirect to the 2nd page and search the db and now I know which blog entry to list as most recent on the showcase page, eliminating multiple showings by the same blogger since I'm only looking for the most recent visible blog entry, which I find by doing a sort on my little 3 field DB When it fails, I get a huge "blank" next to persons thumbnail, because the blog ID its trying to show is in the small 3 field database "only", and doesn't exist in the master database, so its obviouse in some cases the redirect happens before I write the changes into the main database, since then 2nd page that I redirect to reads what it thinks is the most up-to-date information. hope i'm explaining it well arghhhh it was working OK when I was testing it, but I noticed earlier today that it did fail with one person, so something was awry. Also noticed it in one case a few days ago as well, but haven;t been able to get back to it until today. I'll beat it all up again this evening when activity slows down and track entries in the dbs ... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
