texte = Hi Charles,I do a lot of different things with FTP and file manipulation, but I am alittle hazy oh what you want to do. Perhaps it is my being up all nightworking. But if the file is on another server and you want to periodically check itand pull in any new information then you can use TCPconnect and do aWriteFile to store the data in a temp db to do a check on old data versesnew. Or you could use a shell script and do a wget to get the file from theServer and move it to the new server.Something along those lines perhaps? If I am wrong about what you want letme know and let's see if we can come up with a solution.Ron-----Original Message-----From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com] On Behalf OfCharles KlineSent: Friday, March 24, 2006 9:48 AMTo: WebDNA TalkSubject: automating txt downloads for conversion to webcat dbI have a project that uses data files that get updated regularly and are provided via ftp download from a master server someplace.
