interpreted = N
texte = Well, we are considering a per book charge, with allowances for changing the number of copies of each book that the person could order. The specific short-term need for the lines in the scrapbook was so I could have JavaScript calculate over the number of detail lines. I have just about given up on JavaScript, due to some weird inconsistencies in the page generation. For some reason, random carriage returns are being inserted into my page, sometimes in the middle of a keyword. HTML is free-form, but not that free-form. I haven't tracked down where the erroneous returns are coming from (the page is being generated by WebCatalog). I may just write a perl script to to the calculations for me, since then browsers without JavaScript can get the numbers too... ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: Enhancement Request for WebCatalog-NT Author: WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com at INet Date: 9/13/96 9:03 PM > It would be nice if you provided a template variable which was the > total number of lines in the scrapbook. I know that I can use Noted...although I'd like to know specifically what type of shipping charge calculations you are trying to do, so I can implement some general scheme that solves the real problem: complicated shipping charges.
