texte = There are tricks you can use to speed up the appends. For one, you could close the DB and use APPENDFILE instead. You can even gather multiple records to be appended in a text variable, then APPENDFILE in bulk to add multiple records in one shot. The next time you open the DB, the newly written records will be searchable, as long as you are careful to fomat the data records exactly as WebDNA would have via an APPEND. I use this type of a technique when writing out log files, as they don't need to be searchable while they're being written to.
